Like a faulty operating system, our current economic systems have a fundamental bug, as a result of which supply has never really met demand as it should. Instead of fixing this bug, we are stuck in fighting over which symptoms to treat - most notably trying to create work just so that everyone could participate in it, which is possibly the most ridiculous idea in the history of mankind.
