The Kepler spacecraft was launched in 2009 to find the first Earth-like planets orbiting distant stars. Tonight, we present a summary of the spacecraft's mission and highlights of its surprising discoveries. The three expert speakers are astronomers Dimitar Sasselov, David Latham, and Søren Meibom.
