How to play Penalty Shootout. This is a quick game for two players. Shuffle the cards, and deal 11 cards to each player. Now choose five cards to take your first five penalties. Pick French words at the bottom that you think your opponent is least likely to know. Start by asking your opponent the meaning of one of your five French words. If they get it right, they save it. If they get it wrong, you score a goal.
Now it's your opponent's turn to ask you a question. Keep playing until you have played all five cards. The winner is the player who scores the most goals. If it's a draw after five attempts each, it's sudden death. Both players pick a sixth card and attempt a goal. Play continues until one person scores and another doesn't. That's it. Have fun.
