Turkish warplanes have attacked Kurdish guerrilla positions in northern Iraq after four military personnel were killed in separate attacks over the weekend.
Two soldiers were shot dead in Tunceli. Two local militia-men were killed in Hakkari near the border with Iraq.
They are the latest clashes with fighters from the outlawed PKK - or Kurdistan Workers Party - who took up arms against Turkey for an independent homeland in 1984. More than 40,000 people have died since then.
