This was stated in the morning during briefing by Secretary General of the organization Ronald Noble. He confirmed that the facts that were provided prove that the fingerprints of the suspect at the place of the two terrorist acts coincide. Besides, despite the differences between the two explosives they are very much alike. Ronald Noble also qualified the events that happened on April 11 in the Minsk subway precisely as a terrorist act. He called the investigative work of the Belarusian police professional and unprecedented.
(Ronald Noble, Interpol Secretary General)
Ronald Noble arrived in Minsk earlier to hold meetings with the Belarusian MIA and to support the Belarusian police. The Interpol conference opened in Malta on May 11. Because of the European Union visa restrictions our country wasn't represented there. During his speech Mr. Noble expressed bewilderment on this occasion and criticized the position of some European countries for their attitude towards Belarus. And right during the conference he paid a working visit to the Belarusian capital.
("We must do everything possible to ensure that politics does not interfere with the work of Interpol. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
For example, today we didn't stand a chance to listen to a report on the terrorist attack that was committed in the subway in Minsk on April 11 prepared by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus because of the ban on entry into the European Union for Belarusian officials.
The attack on the European citizens in a European city caused deaths of so many innocent people. The similarity of this attack with the bombings in Madrid and London is striking".)
