This is my first "gym" session after being off for 8 months due to my surgery for a complete rupture of my quadriceps and patella tendons and also a tear on my lateral quads on both of my legs during a heavy deadlift workout. My starting weight before my accident was 282lbs. I went as low as 225lbs while I was disabled and not able to workout or take in the calories I usually eat. I'm up to 281.4lbs now and have very limited mobility still on both legs.

***a summary of my accident***
For those who have not heard the bad news....As most of you know I am a competitive bodybuilder and also compete in strength competitions. I had a serious accident at the gym on 5/12/2010. During a heavy deadlift my footing slipped and both of my legs collapsed after hearing 2 loud POP! POP! sound on the final weight attempt. An ambulance came and rushed me to the hospital. The injury ended up being a torn/ruptured bilateral quadriceps tendon (all front thigh muscles) a torn lateral quadriceps muscle (the side thigh muscle) a dislocated patella (knee cap) and this is the same exact injury on both of my legs! I have been bed ridden (cannot get up from bed since I have to keep my legs straight at all times and cannot put any weight on them for 8 weeks) in a leg brace/splint since my surgery 5/15. I started physical therapy to learn how to walk again on the 26th of this month (I can't wait). Physical therapy I was told would take about 6-8 months before I could walk again.
