Jasper explains American Feminism's history from a genderqueer viewpoint. He argues that traditional feminism has aggravated and intensified the Male-Female duality rather than dissolving it. It is time to transcend the essentialist and exclusionary politics which refer to the transcendental category woman. Women's spaces, Women' s Music and Women's Sexuality seemed emancipatory in 1971, but they have become part of a reductionist and reactionary gender and sexuality status quo.
