How To Make A Mojito with Barbados Rum Transcript/Recipe:
If you love Mojito’s you’re going to love Cohiba’s they’ve got everything that you want in your drink. To make the perfect Cohiba you’re going to need one ounce of Golf Coast XO Rum, which comes from the birth place of rum, Barbados. You need a hand full of mint, six to eight blackberries, and a tablespoon of lemon juice. To top it all off a little bit of 7up or soda. To make the perfect Cohiba you need to start with one ounce of Gold Coast XO Rum, next you want to add your six to eight blackberries. Then you want to add a handful of mint, and your tablespoon of lemon juice, or a squeeze. Then you want to take your muddler and you want to work your fruit really well, crushing it getting the essences of the fruit and mint out. A muddler is simply a kitchen utensil that has some stoppers on the end that will help squash all your fruit and mint. So once you’ve muddled you will then want to add your ice to that. And you want to shake that so that everything is mixed well but also chilled well. But instead of straining it you want to add all the ingredients including your ice into the serving glass. You want to top that with 7up or soda and you are ready to enjoy. The first time I tasted a Cohiba it reminded me of sitting on a beach in Barbados, I thought this is the perfect drink to the perfect rum.
