This lat pulldown back workout routine is an awesome back exercise that helps build width and thickness in the lats. However a lot of people do them wrong. In this video I'll show you some different pull down variations with proper exercise form to help you maximize your muscle gains.

This may come as a surprise to most people, but when you do narrow grip pull downs (or any back rowing move for that matter) you work more of the outer portion of the lats. When you do wider grip, you would more of the center portion of your back. Just give it a try the next time you are in the gym. Do a few sets with a wider grip, then do a few sets with a narrow grip. Really focus on feeling the muscles stretch and contract as you do each rep, I bet you'll see that I'm right in where you feel the most muscle activation.
