JSO Requests Public Assistance to Catch Armed Robbery Suspect

On Monday, September 24, 2012, at 8:54 p.m., officers responded to 1148 10th Ave St. W. regarding a robbery to an individual that had just occurred.

Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect approached the victim, pointed a silver or gray handgun at her and stated, "give me what you got". The victim gave the suspect her phone and purse before the suspect fled the area. The suspect was described as a light skinned black male, 22-25 years old, 180-190lbs, with a low deep voice. He was wearing a black t-shirt, long black shorts, and a black mask. Additionally, he was seen riding a red mountain bike.

On Thursday, September 27, 2012 the subject in the video was captured on the victim's home surveillance system and appears to be returning the victim's wallet to her yard. At this time it is unclear if the person in the video is a suspect but investigator's are interested in identifying and speaking to him.

Anyone with any information about the identity of the subject on the bicycle or the suspect in this case is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS to remain anonymous and be eligible for a possible reward.
