I was recently in Kjøllefjord photographing for Arctic Coast (http://www.arcticcoast.no/ ), and on the way back I tested my Røde Stereo VideoMic, Zoom H2 Handy Recorder and Pentax K-x. The boat is a Trefjar Cleopatra 36.
The sound was recorded in 96 Khz / 24 bit and normalized in Adobe Soundbooth CS5, then saved as 44.1 Khz / 16 bit. I can't get proper volume with the Røde microphone connected to the H2. With "proper" I mean the same volume as the H2 alone. I couldn't use it alone now since I didn't have a wind screen for it that does the job. Now I do though, so other sound test comming up later, I just got my RedHead Windscreen (http://www.redheadwindscreens.com/ ), so now I can use the H2 in windy conditions as well.
