You will need to have a Displayport (or Mini-displayport) capable PC in order to do this! It is the only way! Converter boxes may work but they do not offer the quality that you'll get from a single cable.

This should work on any Target Display mode capable iMac from 2009 or 2010 that is equipped with a Mini-displayport port.
