Presented by the UCLA Center for the Study of Women, Thinking Gender is a public conference highlighting graduate student research on women, sexuality and gender across all disciplines and historical periods.

This session is entitled "Mothers: From the Abject to the Archive" and was chaired by Elline Lipkin, CSW Research Scholar, UCLA.

The UCLA Center for the Study of Women is an internationally recognized center for research on gender, sexuality, and women's issues and the first organized research unit of its kind in the University of California system.
