Testing out a SteamVR overlay. Aaaaand it works. Note that recording my screen made my computer run slower than usual, and performance is actually better than was recorded. That is a curved overlay, but as I didn't move it around, you can't really tell.
I'm using the Null driver so that I don't have to hook up my Vive to test it out, but that also means I can't demonstrate that it's a roomscale overlay, but rest assured that it is :P. This is also why you can see through the floor of my poorly designed environment as the "HMD" is at the zero position, and I cannot move it around :(. This is a 2d window being drawn on a 3d overlay, that _should_ be attached to the world, not the HMD.

Right now the Unity window just shows a near 1:1 clone of the window being cloned to the overlay, but it doesn't have to display anything, this is just for demonstrative purposes.

The overlay is set to "curved", which is why you might notice a slight bend in the overlay :)

There's some delay issues to work out but they're probably related to my oldish GPU (r7 265). I suspect it runs much better on a 1080 ;]. This was recorded at near 1080p (everything except my taskbar is shown on my 1920x1080 display). The top two images are the display of the Null driver since I didn't feel like setting up my Vive to test the code. The bottom left is my program, and the bottom right image initially is VLC playing some free video I found online.
