The Fat Dog 100was on 'my list' for about 3 years. Last year, I had entered, but it was canceled due to massive amounts of snowpack in the higher elevations. I did an easier 'consolation' run, the Canadian Death Race, in its place. But this year, Fat Dog was ON.

It is a 120 mile point-to-point course that is predominately single track - and 'no-track' in one of the most scenic places on earth. And it is possibly the toughest race in North America.

This is the GPS log of the first half of the course from my Garmin 310XT http://connect.garmin.com/activity/21... (dead battery after 18.5 hours).

This is the GPS log for the second half of the course. The battery on this Garmin 910 lasted about 19 hours. I missed a very short connecting link between the two. I think the battery died literally at the finish line (or close). http://connect.garmin.com/activity/21...
