This is a Marble sorter that I designed, created, and programed in my Engineering class. It took about 3 class periods to design, build, program, and test from scratch. The sorter reads the light value of each marble, and rotates the "revolver", separating the colored marbles from the clear marbles by placing them into their corresponding bins. The machine works flawlessly and efficiently at a fast pace with "best in class performance" literally :)(White marbles are considered colored) This design was inspired by an earlier design for a robot I came up with my Sophmore year of high school on the FIRST Robotics team. Not to brag or sound full of myself, but this was the best robot our school had ever seen, my designs impressed not only everyone on my team, but the judges at the competition were amazed at my creative, efficient, and all out different approach to solving these engineering problems. I realize my creative and inovative imagination has the potential to create amazing things. As an Engineer, I beleive I can positively influence the world as we know it with my unique problem solving skills. It sounds pretty cheesy, but Engineering is my dream, and dreams always seem a bit cheesy :)
