Today's Script:

It's December 17th, on today's show...

Street Fighter cross Mega Man drops and it's free...
We learn what it takes to survive in Tomb Raider...
And we have your christmas new releases...

It's the last week before Christmas, Lets finish strong shall we, I'm Ryan Calavano and here are your top stories...

We are in the heart of the holiday season and there's no better time to reminisce about the gaming days of yor. Why not start with Street Fighter cross Mega Man, a free PC game made by fans with the blessing of Capcom. The official servers are, as you might expect, a little overloaded, so snag the 34MB download here at Shacknews. Street Fighter cross Mega Man is a classic Mega Man platformer, with all those uber frustrating jumpy and shooty bits, with Street Fighter characters as bosses. In typical Mega Man Fashion, you get to steal the Street Fighter powers post defeat. Which is completely awesome. The game's made by Seow 'Sonic' Zong Hui with music from A_Rival, and a helping hand from Capcom. It's part of Capcom's festivities for the 25th anniversary of Mega Man's debut, which will include re-releasing Mega Man 1-6 one by one for download on Nintendo 3DS starting next week. Nastalgia!

Last week was pretty busy so a couple news items flew under the radar on Shack Daily. One I didn't want to coast by is this Tomb Raider Dev Diary illustrating the type of depth you are going to see in Lara's latest adventure. As is a must in any modern triple A game Lara will have an skill point based upgrade system in which she can develop her skills and weaponry, such as her climbing ax and, of course, her bow and arrow. Watch her use the Ax with this zipline. Theres no way you don't tear an ACL on that landing. But really, all I want in this Tomb Raider is Lara to be able to do that absurd hand stand thing while climbing up from the ledge. Yeah... that was great....

It's Monday so we got this weeks new releases aaaand I'm going to be honest with you, it's slim pickens on account of the holidays but there are a couple gems in there. Like the aforementioned Street Fighter cross Mega Man for the PC, that's out today. Throw a link to the download in an e-card. Merry Christmas. You can gather the family and play some Kinect Party if everyone is open minded enough. My family is old school. We play games such as Let's Avoid Talking Politics! and the old classic, When Are You Going to Get Serious About Life, Ryan, You're Not Getting Any Younger. Nobody ever wins. But let's not kid ourselves. We are all just going to play our backlogs so we can have an informed opinion for Game of the Year. I just finished Dishonored, and it's in my current tops spot. I immediately started a low chaos run and I hardly ever replay games. But I'm about 5 hours into AC3 and haven't started Far Cry 3 yet so the Jury is still out. Thank god for Christmas break. Let me know which game has your Goty Vote in the comments.

And that's your Shack Daily for today. thanks for watching. Be sure to like, sub and share for us. Also, check the description for links to all of todays stories. And, of course, for all things video games, head on over to Shacknews.com.
