SUPPORT THE ARTIST AND BUY THE BEAT PACK!

Fifty days ago Australian producer Reggie "Ta-Ku" Matthews has started his 50 Days project to pay hommage to J Dilla, one of his biggest influences. Today marks the fiftieth day, meaning that his collection of instrumental tracks is finally complete.

Within just three years of operation in his chosen field, Ta-Ku has evolved from a self-taught student of music into a scholar of progressive beat production, cultivating a sound displayed through labels such as HW&W, Project Mooncircle and Brownswood.

As an astute observer of the melodic elements of soul music and the percussive elements of hip hop, Ta-Ku takes influence from pioneering beatsmiths such as 9th Wonder, DJ Premier and J Dilla. Stream Ta-Ku's fifty beats for Dilla below in its entirety.
