Imagine explaining your life's work in three minutes.

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD, Masters and Professional Doctorate students. Developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), the exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

3MT provides a unique opportunity to profile and celebrate the innovative research conducted by research students at ECU Finalists will compete for cash prizes of up to $2000 and the winner will represent ECU at the 2016 Asia-Pacific 3MT® final at the University of Queensland.
