Ivan Lazarev demonstrates ITN's Valet Service at EMC World 2014.
When an attendee drops off an item for safekeeping (or, in this case, for recharging), the individual's NFC badge is read by the valet, giving the valet access to that attendee's account. The valet records the item dropped off and the cubbyhole in which it will be stored. Both notes are posted to the attendee's account. In addition, two receipts are printed. One is given to the attendee and one is attached to the item.
When the attendee returns to claim the item, the valet again reads the individal's badge. The attendee's account shows what the item is and where it has been stored. The valet can update the attendee's record to indicate the item has been claimed.
