"Teens Dying to Drive" is a new organization starting at Cumberland Regional High School to make young teens aware of the main causes of crashes and deaths among young drivers between the ages of 14-19. We are hoping that by running a variety of events and projects we can help prepare teens to be safe, responsible drivers before hitting the road.
We are focusing on two main projects. Our first project is to have our Vocational School build us a tree made from the metal of car crashes. Each month we want to hang a Match Box car on the tree for every teen crash and death that occurs in the State of New Jersey. We will place the tree in front of our entrance to the High School so that teens can visually see the number of teens that die or have crashes in the state.
Our second project is to make teens aware of causes of so many teen deaths and crashes. See more information about this project for the UGotBrains Champion Schools Program in New Jersey at http://www.UGotBrains.com.
