This was done all out of compassion for animal suffering and the realization that we can use alternative ways to get our protein and have a balanced diet. In addition, eating as a vegetarian you have many health benefits and reduce risk to many diseases that you are more likely to get when eating meat regularly.

I became a Buddhist about a year ago and have been furthering my practice since and until recently I ate meat and I had seen a similar video to this not long ago and was almost sick to my stomach. I then recited the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra and throughout it I felt a deep sense of compassion and love for all beings and the suffering they go through. It was at that moment that I decided to become a vegetarian.

So making this video I hope does the same or at least brings awareness to all about the suffering animals go through each and every day.
