At the time this was shot, the Spartanburg Terminal was a dividing point for caboose and cabooseless operations. The Spartanburg Sub south of the terminal still required a caboose, while north of here on the Blue Ridge Sub was using EOT's. A trio of SD50's ease the empty hopper train in for a crew change. Then the Terminal Trainmaster is seen bringing an EOT out from the yard office. The crew pulls the caboose up to the yard office and cuts it off for a waiting local crew to pick it up.
