B Side: It's Just A House Without You

Brook Benton, was born Benjamin Franklin Peay on September 19, 1931 in Camden, South Carolina. His father, Willie Peay was a bricklayer and a minister. Which is where Brook gets his lovely Gospel singing style with the real passion and soul. He was a singer and songwriter who was popular with rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and pop music audiences during the late 1950s and early 1960s. He wrote a lot with Clyde Otis.
