Several of my video clients would have enjoyed having a teleprompter to read from while speaking into the camera. Now I can give people that convenience.
I made this short video to show my fellow filmmakers how to build one. I made mine from things I already had on hand plus ten dollars in plastic. The least inexpensive teleprompter I've seen online was $500, and then you still had to own an iPad and buy some additional software from the app store.
Michele Houston was my entire production crew for this small project. She got a kick out of the fact that I had to ad lib my way through the dialog because I had no teleprompter other than the one I was demonstrating.
