This is the world's first light field camera--meaning, it captures all of the light traveling in every direction at all points in space. The camera grabs abstract, multi-dimensional information unlike the flat, 2D planes that regular cameras capture. One uses software to create pictures from this information. The photos taken from this camera are "living" interactive pictures that can be edited after the fact.
