Okay everyone, it's time for a real world showing of the new Chauvet Q-spot 150 LED lights.
Rich and I had the opportunity to work with the always fun Brat Pack Radio down at the Basement. Other than the new Q-spots this is the same lineup I have been running for a while. Up front on each T stand I have 2 Chauvet Colordash Pars and 1 Chauvet Colordash batten. Behind the drums I have 2 Chauvet Colorstrips for uplighting. On each side of the drums I have a homemade truss that hold 2 Chauvet Splash Jr, an American DJ Galaxian Laser and on top sits the new Q-Spot.
I have been incredibly impressed with the new Q-spot's for my show with just a couple notes so everyone knows. These lights come with no movement macros whatsoever and just a couple programs built in. There are 2 auto programs and 2 sound programs with the ability to do one of your own program but that means you are stuck with whatever color and whatever gobo or dimmer/strobe every time that you call up that program. This is kind of odd to me considering that all the other models that Chauvet makes has moving macros.
But again, these are some pretty awesome lights
