Take the Long Way Home is another timeless classic from Supertramp co-founder, Roger Hodgson. This song is amazing whether Roger is performing it solo, with band, or with orchestra. He is a master composer, singer, and songwriter. Roger is the composer and signature voice of many of the hits such as Give a Little Bit, The Logical Song, Dreamer, Breakfast in America, School, and Fool's Overture to name a few. Great News! Roger is on tour- dates below.
"Take the Long Way Home" was a song that I wrote, actually, during or right before we went into the studio to record the album "Breakfast in America." It was a last-minute surprise for me. It's on two levels - on one level I'm talking about not wanting to go home to the wife, take the long way home because she treats you like part of the furniture, but there's a deeper level to the song, too. I really believe we all want to find our true home, find that place in us where we feel at home, and to me, home is in the heart. And when we're in touch with our heart and we're living our life from our heart, then we do feel like we found our home." ~Roger Hodgson

Many people do not realize that although Roger and Supertramp's other co-founder shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately with each singing their own respective songs. http://bit.ly/1Kfgu0W
"To the adoring fans who rise to their feet as Hodgson and his four-piece backing band take the stage ... it might as well be 1979 all over again." Rolling Stone
"This is the real deal: a legendary music man, in brilliant form and shimmering presence, supported by a tight, terrific band. When you can catch a show, go. An evening with Roger Hodgson will raise your standards of concert-going." Huffington Post

Your ethereal voice, magical musicianship, and meaningful lyrics touches my soul. You are blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful musicians who understand brilliantly your music. Thank you again for an experience that will always be with me. Your smile on stage says it all."
"There is such an elegant, clear simplicity to your wonderful words and music. But, the depth and richness of your songs with the orchestra (and the excellent band) is so layered and succulent, one can weep at the beauty. Thank you for such a memorable evening. The experience will remain with us until we can see you again."
