The Perfect Wave were fortunate to have Bec Woods, ASP World Tour pro surfer, on our recent trip to Solomon Islands. Bec talks about visiting the islands, exploring remote location and how her overall travel experience was with The Perfect Wave.
Stylish natural footer, Rebecca Woods AKA Bec Woods at only 26 has a list of achievements that reads like that of a seasoned professional. View Bec's profile on the ASP World Tour website at www.aspworldtour.com or view her website at www.becwoods.com. Bec won an Australian Junior Title at 16 and went on to become the World Junior Champion at 18. Being a two time Professional Junior series champion in 2002 and 2004, it was only a matter of time before Bec would be intercepted into the women's elite world professional tour and as a young 19 year old her dream of surfing amongst the world's best came true.
Bec has since spent the last five years in the top 10 of her sport, with a career high of sixth and finished in ninth position in 2009. With two new events on tour which suit Bec's style, 2011 is going to be a big year for this exciting young female athlete. Being a dedicated advocate for the progression of female surfing Bec has appeared on many avenues of media from print -- her recent published work can be read here. http://www.theperfectwave.com.au/
