Across the country, more and more US servicemembers are telling the real story of sexual violence in our military. Rape and sexual assault affects 1 in 3 servicemembers - almost double the number for the civilian population. Dod reports only about 13% of those who are assaulted report the crime out of fear of retaliation. ABC7 KGO-TV San Francisco reports on the crisis with four women who were sexually assaulted. New legislation -- the STOP Act -- seeks to end the crisis by taking the reporting and adjudication of sexual assault out of the chain of command.
