English Translation:
The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool."
The scepter of your power the Lord shall send forth to Zion: "Rule in the midst of your enemies.
The power to rule is with you on the day of your strength,
in the splendor of the holy ones:
I have born you from the womb before the morning star."
The Lord has sworn an oath, and will not recant it:
"You are a priest forever
in the order of Melchisidech."
The Lord at your right hand
will destroy kings on the day of his wrath.
He will judge among the heathen,
He will pile up the corpses,
He will smash many lands.
He will drink of the brook by the road;
therefor he will lift high his head.
(Gloria Patri)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was from the beginning, is now, and will be forever,
world without end. Amen.
