The sad thing about the digital age, is that music has been reduced to snippets of its former self. Just lists of separate songs. I am from the vinyl age. When you would put an album on a turntable and let it play through 5 or 6 songs, all arranged by the artist to flow from one to another and be a cohesive work. The A side of Sloppy Seconds has to be one of my all time favorites. And this song is it's crown jewel and I am STUNNED that it was never a hit. It is superior songwriting of the highest order, passionately performed by talented musicians, where did it go wrong? Did someone piss off the wrong critic or something and draw an unwarranted bad review? It has always puzzled me.

Back in th' day, I used to know a few of th' members of Dr. Hook, and lived in th' same motel as they did...and played some of th' same clubs...loved 'em before they were famous and very proud an' privileged to be able to have known them then...almost brings tears to my eyes to hear their songs...especially the long ad lib @Carry Me Carrie"!!! SO AWESOME!!!!!!!! Ray...Bill...remember Biloxi???!!!😳😛

going to see Dennis in concert on saturday in Norwich and so hoping this song will be one that he will be singing. He is doing lots of shows all over Gt Britain and looks like they are going to be all sold out so this music is far from being forgotten.
