Here I sit down to review the Joseph Magnus Bourbon (Batch 1). The Jos. A. Magnus & Co. distillery in Washington D.C. has set out to recreate the style of the original Magnus Bourbon of the late 1800’s. They begin by sourcing casks of mature bourbon and then finishing it in Pedro Ximenez, Oloroso, and Cognac casks before carefully blended them together. This unique bourbon is fairly new to the market, but it’s already winning some great awards (and rightfully so).

As of 05-05-2016, my current bottle count stands at over 2,200 bottles. I am a Certified Specialist of Spirits and have also been certified by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT). I've been actively collecting for the last two decades and what started as a small basic home bar has transformed (with the help and understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection. Thank you for watching and sharing in my passion.
