Think university assessment is only about exams and essay-writing? Think again. Dr Chiara Ambrosio (UCL Science and Technology Studies) is using creative forms of alternative assessment in her Science, Art and Philosophy course. On a topic of their choice, students conduct a literature review, create a poster with images and text and then present their findings to their peers. This form of assessment engages a wide range of skills and challenges students beyond the traditional modes of essays and exams.
