U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner testified before the House Budget Committee about President Obama's proposed FY 2013 budget. Dr. Tim Huelskamp, a member of the Budget Committee, used his allotted question time to show a chart outlining the "jobs deficit" that exists between the Obama Administration's initial projections on job creation (~137 million at the end of 2010) and the actual number of people employed today (~132 million). Dr. Huelskamp also asked Secretary Geithner about which -- if any -- of President Obama's proposed tax increases will create jobs and help to close the 5.4 million jobs deficit. President Obama's budget contains a $1.9 trillion tax hike.
