One interesting tidbit about my hometown was that when the railroad tracks were laid over a hundred years ago, it was deliberately set up so there are no railroad crossings in the town (due to traffic reasons and because back then crossing accidents were more hazardous.) There are only two railroad crossings in Brockton, for pedestrians only. This one is at the Montello MBTA commuter rail station.
For those wondering, the crossing signals are made by Safetran, except for the bells, which are WCH (this crossing USED to have Safetran bells, but were replaced earlier this year.)
