And we go to Australia, where Chinese tennis celebrity is competing in the Australian Open grand slam tournament. Li was the first Chinese to play there last year, and is hoping to make this year one for the record books.

Chinese tennis sensation Li Na returns to the arena that made her a star. Here in the city of Melbourne, the 2012 Australian Open is underway. Li Na made history last year as the first Chinese contestant in the Open. After winning silver here last year, she went on to be the first Asian born victor of the 2011 French open.

[Li Na, Chinese Tennis Star]:
"From the 2011 French Open to now, my life has changed and my fan base has expanded, with supporters not only from China but from other parts of the world. So it's impossible for me to deny the changes in my life. The only thing I could do is to adapt to the changes."

Now, at 29, she's back for more.

[Li Na, Chinese Tennis Star]:
"I've had at least a month to practice in a quiet environment. Without a good winter training,.. I mean I needed to build up energy for this year's competition season."

Li Na has already made it into the second round at the Australian Open. She's already made history. Maybe, she can do it again.
