AUDIO DRAMA / "Prescription Murder" - the original Columbo TV Movie from 1968.
For Programme Notes - please click "SHOW MORE".

Currently in its third edition - this audio drama is based on the 1968 TV Movie "Prescription Murder"

Notice the title makes no mention of the main character "Columbo". This was the very first time Peter Falk had ever played this part, and no one knew it would be so successful! In fact - this was released originally as a [stand-alone] TV movie. It was NOT A PILOT.

Rather it was so popular, it became a TV series.

Updates to volume spikes & dips. Improved sound quality. Other fixes too.

Original TV movie PRESCRIPTION MURDER, 1968
Written by Richard Levinson & William Link

Produced by Jerrold Freedman and Richard Irving
Directed by Richard Irving

Story Synopsis: After murdering his wife, a wealthy psychiatrist evades authorities, seeking help from his mistress, and an old college friend now working for the DA's Office.

"Prescription Murder"; not actually a "pilot" - rather a wildly popular "Made-For-TV Movie", which was so successful, the movie practically pitched itself. Notice the original movie title's lack of the word "Columbo".

Actress "Nina Foch" pronunciation - the "O" is pronounced long, like the words both, vote, and code. Ending the word Foch - the "ch" is pronounced "SH". So "Foch" rhymes with gauche. = = = = = = = = =

REGARDING THIS SPOKE WORD AUDIO PROGRAMME:

Special thanks to Contributor Jason Fortune for his narration of "CRIME WATCH" (written by Brian Newberry).

***CONSERVE YOUR CONNECTION SPEED! ***

In the lower right corner of the video click "Settings", then adjust the Quality to its lowest possible setting (preferably 144 p). This only affects the VIDEO (which you're not watching). Reducing the quality will not affect AUDIO quality. :-)

My contribution is its accompanying narration. Working at a pace of a day & a half per every one minute of finished programme - for just over 2½ months, I had the joyous addiction of writing, recording, editing, & "weaving" my words into the existing TV soundtrack. I started New Year's Day 2016, and completed project 2½ months later on March 16th. I absolutely loved every second of it!

Does your boss allow you to listen to headphones at work?
Listen to a crime story while working in a different tab! Also great while running, cleaning house, folding clothes, long drives, or strength-training.
