This is one of my favourite Christmas folk songs from 1857 (Reverend John Henry Hopkins) and I sing and play it on the ukulele and melodica. I translated one verse into French with my friend Hélène. This is a musical stocking stuffer! hehe

We three kings of orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star

O, star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light

Trois rois mages des pays lointains
traversent les déserts, cadeaux en main
routes vallons, sentiers enneigés
poursuivent leur destinée

étoile de beauté, étoile de nuit
étoile de l'espoir qui toujours luit
brille, scintille jusqu'au matin
guide-nous vers l'enfant divin

Ukulele: Brüko custom cherry soprano
Other instruments: Hohner melodica
