On February 11, 2011, the Government Accountability Project's Food Integrity Campaign (FIC) put on a conference, "Employee Rights and the Food Safety Modernization Act," at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. This all-day seminar focused on the impact of new legislation - that includes whistleblower protections for food industry workers who report FDA violations - on public and worker health, the environment, and American consumers.
