Looking at some of the victims of the 228 Massacre of 1947.
Part 2 tells us about artist Chen Cheng-po (陳澄波). He studied in Japan and taught in Shanghai, so he was one of the few locals who spoke the dialect of Beijing (which at the time was not Putonghua). He was tricked into meeting with KMT officials on the pretense of acting as an intermediary between them and the locals. Instead, they took him to the police station. He was shot and killed two weeks later.
Be careful to distinguish what's real footage and what's a reenactment.
