These are some amazing original chants, written by 4th and 5th graders at PS22 in their music class, and performed by the amazing PS22 Chorus!! This is one of my all time favorite recordings of the chorus and I had to share it. Some of these are startlingly good.

This was a great way to teach about modes. Each of the chants were written by a different class which chose it's respective mode (dorian, phrygian, lydian, mixolydian, etc.) to create the melody.

It was a cool exercise and the results were brilliant. The chorus really gave it an air of authenticity of the time period.

I did my best with the video, but I don't have the best software. But photoshop was fun for making the demon children. (other pictures used were the ugliest dog pic, the Tori Amos angelwings pic, etc. whom I don't know whom to credit as I found these pictures randomly online. If anybody knows I'd be happy to do so.)
