Day 2 of the Expedition allowed the crew to go out and fish for the first time. While deckhands Juan and Alex manned the slick at the stern of the boat, Tom Wrasse, our ROV specialist scanned the bottom of the floor looking for signs of any marine life that may attract great whites. Chris and Brett did reconnaissance on board the Contender and both agreed they were in a good spot, but discussed other areas just in case they need to move the ship. While the first great white hasn't been tagged yet, the team is still hopeful. As modern day explorers, the crew has little to go on but the instincts of world class fishermen and the knowledge of a world class science team. Determination and passion is what will see this mission through.
