In February 2002 we met up with Drowning Pool’s singer Dave Williams. He talked about the Dallas metal scene, their link to The World Wrestling Federation and Ozzfest. He was in a very good mood because apparently Amsterdam is one of his favorite cities:

"Van Halen had a record called 'Balance' and they wrote a song called 'Amsterdam', talking about the Bulldog and all these cool places and I love Van Halen and for them to write about it, it's got to be a cool place. I surely was not disappointed."

On August 14, 2002 while on the Ozzfest tour in the US, Dave Williams died from cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle. According to MTV he is remembered as being 'One of Rock's Nicest'.
