Edye Frankel was just two years old when American GIs liberated her from the French internment camp at Vittel in September 1944. She was too young to remember what she experienced.
After meeting at the 20th anniversary national tour stop in Boca Raton, a Museum curator showed Edye film footage from the camp. Edye was shocked to see herself as a young girl in the arms of her mother being entertained by an American soldier with puppet.
