I am strong. I am invincible. I am woman!
This feminist anthem of the 1970s galvanized the equal rights movement. The choreo is slow and emotional but it's FUN!
I choreographed this song for 11/9/16. Notice the pantsuit! (The choreography includes putting a hand in a pocket, YES THAT'S A FEMINIST STATEMENT... why don't women's clothes have pockets?) We danced with tissues that day because we were crying, of course. This is for Hilary, our first would-be woman president, who stood up to the world's biggest bully for all of us with grace and focus.
I have continued to lead this song at women's marches since then. Feel free to use the choreo! And your pockets!
