The idea of a posterior tongue tie is still a bit of a mystery to a lot of professionals and mothers. Feel free to repost this video or show this video to your clients to help illustrate the difference that a laser revision can make for a baby who has a posterior tongue tie and is not breastfeeding well.
The girl's mother requested for me to revise her daughter's tongue in order to relieve tension in her jaw and neck since she clenches her teeth. Coincidentally, the mother also recalls that she was a poor breastfeeder as a baby. Due to the oral restriction, the teen had challenges breastfeeding effectively as an infant. Challenges noted by the mother were snap-back, insufficient high fat milk transfer resulting in frequent feedings, slow gain & gain plateau's.
