Seventeen domestic violence survivors in the Greater Rochester area are reclaiming their financial independence as the first participants of the new Business Entrepreneurship Program. This initiative, funded by a $100,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation, provides the skills and know-how to start successful small businesses, and is a collaboration among Monroe Community College, Alternatives for Battered Women, & New York State Small Business Development Center at The College at Brockport.
