The Federal Interagency Working Group on Environmental Justice (EJ IWG) comprises 17 federal agencies and White House Offices that work together to guide, support and enhance environmental justice. Check out the EJ IWG Webpage for more information.

The EJ IWG hosts the Access& Awareness Webinar Series, a monthly event, to provide public access to the working group and to increase community awareness of federal agency environmental justice strategies and holistic community-based solutions to address environmental justice issues.

This webinar provides an overview of federal strategies to address disparities in children's environmental health including The President’s Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children by the Department of Health and Human Services. EPA representatives from the Great Lakes Region shared information on how to reduce childhood lead exposure and the Department of Transportation discussed their Safe Routes to School activities that focus on ensuring children in communities with limited resources can safely travel to and from school.
