A lot of sadness in this video...To start off with, about a month ago I got a call from my dad saying that the people who were taking care of our birds while we were at a wedding had accidentally left the cage open, and little Obi had flown away. Thankfully Romeo was still waiting next to the cage, but nobody could find our little man and we don't know what has happened to him.
Goodbye my little Romeo...
It kills me to say this, to make this video and to even try to wrap my head around the fact that my best friend is gone. As a few of you might know, and most of you might not, I got Romeo a few years ago to try and heal the empty place I was left with after my old bird Beau passed away after being attacked by a hawk. Just short of the day when Beau would have turned four, a month before Romeo's third birthday, my gorgeous girl was taken in exactly the same way. It shakes me how the dates coincide...and the fact that Romeo was taken from me by a hawk attack. My little girl's happy face will never be around again, and I wasn't even home to see her. I hadn't seen her for months, and I broke down when I was told. I just can't register the fact that my baby girl, my princess, is gone forever. Rest in Peace my darling Romeo. I know your big sister Beau is taking good care of you, and if little Obi is somewhere with you too then all of you can be together. Don't be afraid, you'll be loved and well looked after where you are. You can't hurt anymore my darling. RIP my baby, I love you and miss you, and I wish more than anything I could have said goodbye ♥ ~Beau, Obi, and my little Romeo...you'll never be forgotten~
